Bringing the Big Screen to White Ash Brook

At White Ash Brook in Oswaldtwistle, we recently brought the magic of big screen to our shared home community. On movie night, residents gathered in the dining room, with rows of seats set up just like a cinema. The new projector and screen were ready to go and as Mamma Mia!  began, you could feel the joy as they tucked into their popcorn. Their reactions were amazing, with lots of singing and laughter. After the film ended, many residents said it felt like they were at the cinema.

At Each Other Care, wellbeing goes beyond physical health, it’s about bringing comfort both physically and emotionally. Wellbeing Lead Louise does such a fantastic job at enhancing the lives of residents at White Ash Brook, creating spaces where people feel at home and happy.

Movie nights capture this feeling perfectly, by tapping into the memories of residents and taking them back to their youth. Sometimes, the simplest things can have the most profound impact and daily small joys bring a lasting sense of belonging, community and connection.

We’re so excited to see what our next film night will bring.
