The role
We are seeking a dedicated Carer to join our wonderful team supporting our residents. You will play a vital role in delivering our quality, person-centred care and be responsible for ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of care in our shared home, in line with our values.
Playing a vital role as part of the larger home team, you will create meaningful connections to make a real difference to the lives of those who choose to live with us. Whether this be assisting with personal care, supporting with day-to-day tasks or sharing stories over a cup of tea, you’re here to ensure our residents feel at home in our shared home communities.
Working with residents and our team is central to your continued success, as is actively supporting and collaborating with team members to ensure our quality care.

Our home
Brierfield House is a 41-bedroom care home offering residential, dementia and respite care in the bustling location of Brierfield, Lancashire. We offer regular live entertainment and performances alongside a varied and vibrant lifestyle and wellbeing programme. Recent events include an outing to Oswaldtwistle Mills, live music from resident favourite Louis the French Singer and a Christmas party where our local community join us to celebrate our community. We regularly organise community events in our home and our minibus is available for weekly outings and visits.

Key responsibilities
Provide high-quality, person-centred care tailored to each resident's needs and preferences.
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, eating, and mobility support where required.
Develop meaningful relationships with residents and loved ones, always offering clear and supportive communication.
Monitor and report any changes in residents' physical, emotional or social needs to senior team members.
Help maintain accurate care documentation, ensuring compliance with care standards and policies.
Support a safe, clean and welcoming environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Participate in offering feedback and working with feedback from our team to continuously improve and shape Each Other Care together.
Embrace attending training sessions as part of your personal and professional development.
Skills and experience
A caring and patient nature, treating residents and our team with kindness and respect, contributing to our supportive and inclusive values-led team culture.
A clear DBS (or willingness to obtain one), with knowledge of regulatory standards (CQC/CI) and a commitment to quality, safety, and professionalism.
Strong communication and IT skills to support digital record-keeping and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of care.
A proactive and positive approach to work, demonstrating integrity, accountability and a commitment to continuous improvement.
